ISO Internal Auditor
Training in Chennai

A 2-day intensive that equips your own team to plan, conduct and report internal audits - so you stop depending on outside help for something you should own.

ISO Internal Auditor Training

Why this course exists

Internal audits are a requirement of every ISO management system, and they are also the single best early-warning system you have. Done properly they find problems before an external auditor does. Done as a paperwork exercise they find nothing. This course is about the difference.

What it covers

The 2-day intensive with practical audit exercises

📘

Audit principles

The principles behind auditing and how ISO 19011 frames the discipline, so decisions in the field have a basis.

🗓️

Planning and execution

Scoping an audit, preparing, and running it to time without disrupting the operation.

✅

Checklist development

Building checklists that test what matters rather than ticking through the standard clause by clause.

🔍

Finding non-conformances

Recognising a genuine non-conformance, separating it from an observation, and evidencing it properly.

📝

Audit reporting

Writing findings that people act on - specific, evidenced and free of ambiguity.

🔄

Corrective action

Driving findings through to root cause and closure instead of letting them recur.

FAQ

ISO Internal Auditor Training, answered

What is ISO internal auditor training?
Training that equips your own staff to plan, conduct and report internal audits of your management system. Internal audits are a requirement of every ISO management system, and this course gives your team the competence to run them properly.
How long is the internal auditor course?
It is a 2-day intensive, built around practical audit exercises rather than lecture alone - because auditing is a skill you have to practise, not a topic you can be told about.
Who should attend?
Quality and operations staff who will audit your own system - typically process owners, quality executives, supervisors and anyone being asked to sit on an internal audit team.
What is the difference between internal and lead auditor training?
Internal auditor training prepares you to audit your own organisation's system. Lead auditor training is an advanced course for people who will manage audit programmes and lead audit teams, and runs over five days with an examination. Many people do the internal course first.
Does this cover a specific standard?
We run it against the standard you are certified to or working towards - ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001 and others. The audit discipline is common; the requirements you audit against are not.
Can you run it at our premises?
Yes. We deliver on site, at our offices, or online. On-site sessions work best because exercises can use your own processes and documentation.
